What Is the Arus EnerG ATAP Calculator?
The Solar ATAP programme lets domestic and commercial consumers generate their own electricity. They can also export excess energy back to TNB. However, the Efficiency Incentive Adjustment Charge formula confuses many homeowners. The adjustment rate is applied as a flat rate based on the total monthly export.
How This Calculator Works
This calculator factors in a Peak Sun Hour of 3.5 hours and a Performance Ratio of 90%. It also applies an ATAP export rate of RM0.37/kWh or RM0.27/kWh, depending on your remaining TNB import after direct solar usage. In addition, every result shows a full breakdown: system size, monthly generation, daytime usage, grid export, and the adjustment charge based on the official rate table.
If you are not sure how many kWh you use each month, the calculator will estimate it for you. It uses your TNB bill and the average electricity rate you enter. As a result, you still get a useful estimate even without an exact kWh figure. For a more accurate result, use the actual kWh figure from your latest TNB bill instead.
